Striping Plan Calculator
Plan rack power and review three-phase loading and balance for each source path.
Tool assumptions and formulas
Tool assumption, not a regulation or standard clause. Regulation clause numbers are left blank. Imbalance = (Imax−Imin)÷Iavg×100%, in % (warn above 10%). Three-phase current per phase = kW×1000÷(√3×V×PF), in A (kW is that feed's power). When one source fails, that rack's power is shared across the remaining live paths; the failure peak is in kW and the matching current is in A. 6 A is the per-phase current of a 4 kW feed (rounded to an integer), not the current of an 8 kW rack, and not L1+L2+L3; a three-phase total of about 211 A is not line current. "A peak 96 kW" means A rises to 96 when B fails, not that A itself failed. For the same kW, single-phase current is 3 times the three-phase formula, because single-phase uses 415÷√3. Rated power P(A) = A×√3×V×PF÷1000, a tool assumption; frequency is not used, and there is no safety factor.
Tool assumption (not a regulation clause). Calculation model: 415 V is three-phase line-to-line voltage. For a three-phase rack, phase current = feed power × 1,000 ÷ (√3 × line voltage × PF), shared across L1/L2/L3. For a single-phase rack, current = feed power × 1,000 ÷ ((line voltage ÷ √3) × PF), assigned to its striped phase. Three-phase imbalance = (maximum phase current − minimum phase current) ÷ average phase current × 100%.
